Prom/Bridesmaid Alterations Terms & Conditions

Dress & Shoes - It is your responsibility to ensure you bring your correct shoes and undergarments to all of your appointments. If you change your shoes after the 1st appointment, I cannot take responsibility for the hem being incorrect and if additional alterations need to be done, they will incur additional costs.

 

Weight/size - If you are planning on losing weight etc., you must be at your ‘goal weight’ by your 1st fitting. Drastic weight/size changes following your 1st fitting may incur additional costs as a result of more work needing to be done.

 

Deposit - The booking deposit secures your booking and ensures you attend your 1st fitting. The amount is non-refundable and is deducted from your overall alterations cost. For bridesmaids, a separate deposit is required per person in the group as time will be alotted for the appointment depending on the number of people.

 

Quotes - Any prices given before the 1st fitting are not a quote, only a guide. Quotes depend on the amount of work required and can be affected by style, embellishments and number of layers, therefore, an accurate quote can only be given at the 1st fitting. You will be asked to sign your quote at your first fitting to indicate that you have agreed to the listed alterations. You will be required to pay 50% at your 1st fitting and the final 50% upon collection of your dress.

 

Changing appointments - If you need to change your appointment you must let me know ASAP. I will try to accommodate you where possible, however, I cannot guarantee I will be able to do so. If I cannot re-accommodate you, the appointments will be classed as cancelled by you. Changes made within 2 weeks of the 1st appointment will require an additional deposit to secure the new appointment.

 

Cancellations - If you cancel your appointment, your deposit will not be refunded. If I cancel your appointment and it cannot be rearranged, your deposit will be returned.

 

No shows - If you fail to attend your 1st fitting, your deposit will not be returned and any pre-booked following appointments will be cancelled. If you fail to attend your 2nd/collection appointment, the appointment will be rearranged, however, a £20 fee will be charged for the missed appointment.

 

Late arrival - If you arrive 10 minutes or more late for your appointment, I may not be able to fit you in as the whole time slot booked is necessary to assess and pin your dress. In this case, I reserve the right to deem the appointment as a no show.

 

Steaming - Your dress will be steamed after work has been completed on it and then stored in its dress bag. If you would like your dress steaming again for your wear date, you are welcome to bring back the dress to be steamed for an additional fee.

 

Social media - Photos and videos may be taken of the work being completed on your dress. Content may be shared on my Facebook (Danimae designs and alterations), Instagram (@danimaealterations) or my website (www.danimaedesings.com). If you wish for no images/videos of your dress to be taken, you may opt out when signing the terms and conditions at your first fitting.
