When it comes to your wedding, you want the day to be perfect. You want to feel like the most important two people in the world and you want to look amazing whilst you create such special memories. Every detail is important and so is your dress. Finding the perfect dress is an exciting moment but getting it to fit like it was made just for you is where I come in.
Bridal alterations are done across 3 fittings with the first taking place 8-10 weeks before the date of your wedding. Appointments must be booked in advance. A £50 booking deposit will be required to secure your appointments. The deposit amount will be taken off your final quote and is non-refundable. Bridal Fittings
1st
1 hour appointment
8-10 weeks before the wedding
Your first fitting is where we pin all of the changes that need to be made including the length.
You will need to bring the exact shoes you will be wearing on the day and the underwear that you intend to wear.
For this appointment it is not essential that you bring someone with you but you are welcome to do so if you wish to make it more of an experience.
You will be given a quote for the work being done at this fitting. Your booking deposit will be taken off the quote. No payment will be required at this point.
2nd
30 - 45 minutes
5 - 6 weeks before the wedding
At your second fitting, most of the work will be done. At this point we check to see if any more adjustments need to be made. Again, please bring the correct shoes and underwear with you.
I would recommend bringing someone with you, whether it's your mum, a bridesmaid or a group. I will show them how to arrange fasten your dress and how to bustle the skirt if needed.
If everything is perfect, you will be able to take your dress home with you. If more adjustments need to be made, I will see you for your third fitting. Half payment is required at the second fitting.
3rd
30 minutes
2-3 weeks before the wedding
This fitting will see the adjustments from the second fitting done. The rest of the thrid fitting will be similar to the second.
If you did not have anyone with you at your second fitting you will need to bring someone here so that they can be shown how to help you into your dress.
Your dress will be steamed for this appoint ment so that you can see exactly how it will look on the day. You may also want to bring your veil or hairpiece so that you can see the full image.
Your remaining balance will be paid and your dress can be taken home.
Unfortunatley, quotes can only be given upon fitting the dress. However, the average spend is £250-£350. A price guide can be found below that may help you to estimate the cost for your dress. Quotes will depend on the extent of the work that needs doing. For example, if your dress has lots of embellishments the price will be higher.
Bridesmaid fittings will follow a similar system but usually only need two fittings and can be done individually or as a group. For more information, see below.
